Cross agency overview
The Australian Bureau of Statistics’ (ABS) goods and services are purchased by several Australian Government agencies. Some of our material clients are as follows:
- Australian Agency for International Development
- Australian Institute of Health and Welfare
- Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry-Australia
- Department of Education, Science and Training
- Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts
- Department of Employment and Workplace Relations
- Department of Family and Community Services
- Department of Health and Ageing; and
- Department of Transport and Regional Services
Cost recovery arrangements
Cost recovery guidelines have been developed by the ABS in relation to the various goods and services paid for by clients. This amounts to $16.9 million in 2004-05.
Summary of cost recovery impact statement
The ABS will complete a cost recovery impact statement during 2005-06.
