The Government will provide $71.8 million over four years to develop Canberra’s national capital infrastructure in accordance with the Griffin Legacy plan. The capital funding will be used to redevelop Constitution Avenue and construct an overpass at the intersection of Kings Avenue and Parkes Way.

This development is conditional on the Australian Capital Territory Government agreeing to cede, at no cost, the ownership of roads and road reserves associated with the Griffin Legacy development around the Parliamentary Triangle and Dunrossil Drive to the Australian Government.

This measure includes $13.0 million in expense funding over four years for the maintenance of these roads.
