The Government will provide $37.1 million to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to develop and maintain IT systems delivered by the Systems for People program.
The program was initiated in 2006 as a four year effort to address significant limitations in the Department's information systems identified by the Palmer and Comrie Reports. The program aims to improve the client focus of the Department's IT systems, enhance decision making and records management, and improve services to clients.
